As an organization committed to applied research and partnership, FRESC benefits from collaboration with numerous academic institutions throughout the metro area. FRESC strives to link academic level research with on-the-ground organizing to make the case for change and social justice. Policy change can be complex and complicated - research that is easily digestible and understood lays the foundation for change to happen.
In 2005, FRESC partnered with the Iliff School of Theology to create a leadership institute on economic and social justice. In 2006, FRESC hosted the sabbatical of Dr. Tony Robinson, a University of Colorado - Denver political science professor.
We also partner with faculty and host undergraduate and graduate interns from University of Colorado - Denver, the University of Denver, University of Colorado - Boulder and Iliff. FRESC is also a frequent guest classroom speaker, sharing valuable real-world experience with students of economics, social work, law, marketing and other social sciences.
