Academic Partnerships and Internships

As an organization committed to applied research and partnership, FRESC benefits from collaboration with numerous academic institutions throughout the metro area.  FRESC strives to link academic level research with on-the-ground organizing to make the case for change and social justice.  Policy change can be complex and complicated - research that is easily digestible and understood lays the foundation for change to happen.

In 2005, FRESC partnered with the Iliff School of Theology to create a leadership institute on economic and social justice.  In 2006, FRESC hosted the sabbatical of Dr. Tony Robinson, a University of Colorado - Denver political science professor.   We also partner with faculty and host undergraduate and graduate interns from University of Colorado - Denver, the University of Denver, University of Colorado - Boulder and Iliff.  FRESC is also a frequent guest classroom speaker, sharing valuable real-world experience with students of economics, social work, law, marketing and other social sciences.
